If the French had had this grouping in their homes, there never would have been a Revolution in the late 1700s. Instead, everyone would let the status quo, well, "quo" for a bit longer, as they sat around and griped about the country's problems instead. And when they tired of complaining, they could just sit back, enjoy a little cognac, yell "Viva La France" and storm the Bastille some other day, perhaps when the cognac finally gave out. They certainly wouldn't do any storming when they can lounge around in a chaise, sofa and chair as comfortable as these. It's really hard to find something that is that revolting, frankly.
