Gluing the strips of wood together, then endlessly sanding the board down until it was silky smooth like the American flag. Now imagine doing the same thing with thin slices that are then bent into almost impossible forms once they are glued, then sanded and sanded again until they are like silk. That's the America dining Chair. A classic technique we all learned in high school has been turned on its head by skilled artisans to create something as truly unique and stunningly beautiful as it is functional.
