Designer Rogan Gregory Brings Ethical Fashion to Target

If it's good enough for Bono, it's good enough for you.  At least, that's the idea behind design-for-the-masses mecca Target, whose latest designer-partner is fashion world rock star Rogan Gregory.  The designer has skyrocketed to fame for his socially-conscious take on his craft, sourcing and creating cutting-edge clothing in the developing world, especially Africa.   His commitment to social justice caught the attention of Bono, who hired Gregory to help with EDUN, the t-shirt line he and his wife Ali launched in 2005.  Gregory earned the prestigious CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award for his work last November, and continues to dazzle with his edgy Rogan and organic Loomstate lines.

The Target collaboration makes Gregory the 11th designer to join the retailer's Go International® program, designed to bring good design from around the world to the masses.  Like Gregory's more expensive lines, his Target collection, featuring relaxed tees, tanks and dresses for summer, will be made from 100% certified organic cotton.  Designing for the mass market represents a sort of "return to the roots" for Gregory, who got his start designing for Gap.  His Target collection will be available for a very limited time beginning in mid-May, so be sure to check it our before it's gone.
