Style.com Gets a Makeover

Sometimes, even websites need a new look – especially when they sole purpose of their existence is to stay on top of what's in, what's out, what's hot and what's not.  Still, it came as a bit of a shock to some that Style.com, Vogue magazine's online presence, has undergone the redesign equivalent of a face lift, tummy tuck, liposuction and nose job…all rolled into one.  The site has a new, clean look, bolder graphics, and a design that some say is more reminiscent of a blog than an online magazine.  Whether or not that's a good thing is, of course, up to the reader to determine.  We just report – we're not here to judge!

Of course, the true measure of the success of a style website is how well it lets its users know what's in style.  On that front, the new, improved Style.com claims to be better organized, offer a wealth of useful navigational tools and say they've revamped and improved their most popular features.  They've even added some new ones, including a Beauty Counter blog, an improved Style File blog, a model hostess (in the form of Coco Rocha) and a Shop Now feature – set to debut September 2 – that could help you score the fashion find of the season.  Which, if you're a fashion fanatic, will definitely make the Style.com makeover worthwhile.
